തിരുവിതാംകൂര് മഹാരാജാവു തിരുമനസ്സ് എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവിടുത്തെ എതിരേല്ക്കാനായി പ്ലാററുഫാറത്തില് ഗവര്ന്മേണ്ടു അണ്ടര് സെക്രട്ടറി മിസ്റ്റര് എ. എം. ഗാലററി, ഐ. സി. എസ്., ക്യാപ്ടന് ജാക്സന്, ദിവാന് മിസ്റ്റര് രാജഗോപാലാചാരി, ഡര്ബാര്ഫിസിഷ്യന് മേജര് ബിഡി, ഡാക്ടര് മിച്ചല്, മിസ്റ്റര് ടാക്കര്, മിസ്തര് സീതാറാം ചെട്ടി എന്നിവര് ഹാജരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. മഹാരാജാവു തിരുമനസ്സുകൊണ്ട് വണ്ടിയില്നിന്നും ഇറങ്ങിയ ഉടന് സല്ക്കാരത്തിനായി അയച്ചിരുന്ന ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് പട്ടാളക്കാര് ആചാരം ചെയ്കയും, മിസ്റ്റര് ടാക്കര്, മിസ്റ്റര് സീതാറാംചെട്ടി എന്നിവര് തിരുമനസ്സിനെ പുഷ്പമാല ധരിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. അവിടെ കൂടിയിരുന്നവരോടു എല്ലാം യഥായോഗ്യം സംസാരിച്ചശേഷം ഗവര്ന്മേണ്ടില്നിന്നും അയയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന വണ്ടിയില്കയറി ടാക്കര്സ് ഗാര്ഡന്സ് എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തെക്കു എഴുന്നള്ളുകയുംചെയ്തു. എഴുന്നള്ളത്തിനെ അറിയിക്കാനായി 25 ആചാരവെടിയും വയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഉച്ചയ്ക്കു 1 മണിക്കു മഹാരാജാവു തിരുമനസ്സുകൊണ്ട് ഗവര്ന്മേണ്ടു ഹൌസില്ചെന്നു ഗവര്ണരെ കണ്ടു. ഉച്ചയ്ക്കു 12 മണി കഴിഞ്ഞഉടനെ അണ്ടര് സിക്രട്ടറി, മിലിട്ടറി സിക്രിട്ടറി എന്നിവര് നാലുകുതിരകെട്ടിയ ഒരു വണ്ടിയും ആയി മഹാരാജാവ് തിരുമനസ്സ് കൊണ്ടു എഴുന്നള്ളിയിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തെയ്ക്കു ചെന്നു അവിടുത്തെ സല്ക്കരിച്ചു ഗവര്ന്മെണ്ടു ഹൌസിലെക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു. കൂടെ റസിഡണ്ട് മിസ്തര് കാര്, ഡര്ബാര് ഫിസിഷന് മേജര് ബീഡി, ദിവാന് മിസ്തര് രാജഗോപാലാചാരി എന്നിവര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഗവര്ന്മെണ്ട് ഹൌസ് ഗേററില് ചീഫ് സിക്രട്ടറി സര് വില്യം മേയര് ചെന്ന് എതിരേററു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി. അകത്തുചെന്ന് ഗവര്ണ്ണരും ആയി സ്വല്പനേരം സംഭാഷണം കഴിഞ്ഞ് തിരിയെ മടങ്ങി. അന്നേദിവസം വൈകിട്ട് മൂന്നു മണിക്കു ഗവര്ണ്ണര്, മഹാരാജാവുതിരുമനസ്സിലെ ടാക്കര്സ് ഗാര്ഡന്സില് ചെന്നു കണ്ടു.
